Phase one - DNA Extraction & Evaluation

We carefully extract DNA from your item and measure its quality and quantity to determine whether there is enough usable material to move forward. This phase confirms if your sample is viable for Whole Genome Sequencing in Phase 2.

Phase two - Whole Genome Sequencing

We sequence the entire genome using ultra-sensitive, low-input methods designed for minimal or degraded DNA. This phase generates the full sequencing dataset needed to determine whether a genetic genealogy profile can be created in Phase 3.

Phase three - Your Legacy Unlocked

If sequencing is successful, we transform your data into a complete genetic genealogy profile that can be uploaded to GEDmatch. This phase includes your maternal (and, for males, paternal) haplogroup information and a written summary of your results.
